As a benchmark enterprise in the field of solid-state battery energy storage, Chengdu Qingtao New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. faces core safety challenges such as lithium electric thermal runaway and hydrogen explosion in its large-scale energy storage system. Jindun Electric deeply integrates the characteristics of energy storage scenarios and creates a comprehensive explosion-proof solution for containerized energy storage units and BMS control cabins.
In response to the risk of thermal spread in battery modules, an innovative Ex e II T3 explosion-proof distribution system has been applied. Key equipment has passed dual certifications of GB 3836 and UL 1203, and 68 sets of explosion-proof temperature gas composite sensors have been deployed, along with an AI warning platform to achieve millisecond level response to thermal runaway precursors. The energy storage container adopts a double-layer pressure relief and explosion-proof structure, integrates explosion-proof air conditioning and positive pressure ventilation system, and suppresses hydrogen concentration below 0.8% LEL. The project will build a new explosion-proof lighting network covering a 2000 square meter factory area, and customize 240 sets of IP67 protection level LED explosion-proof lights, suitable for extreme temperature ranges from -30 ℃ to 55 ℃.
The technical team has created a dedicated explosion-proof link architecture for energy storage, equipped with a fast fuse isolation module and an arc fault clearing speed of 5ms. After the transformation, the explosion-proof compliance rate of the system is 100%, the operation and maintenance costs are reduced by 40%, and the annual downtime due to faults is reduced by 80%, setting a new safety standard for the new energy storage industry.
